Obituary of Edith Marjorie Graham
GRAHAM, Edith Marjorie (nee Bish) – Peacefully at Marshall Gowland Manor, Edith Graham died on Wednesday, June 5, 2024, at the age of 90. Beloved wife of the late Clare Graham (2023). Loving mother of three sons, Keith (Sandra) Mark (Loretta deceased) and Steven (Joanne). Gramma to Jason (Natalie) and David (Carlie) Randy, Crystal, Michael and Great Gramma of 6. Predeceased by her parents William and Edna Bish sister Irene Thayer and her brothers Ivan, Harold, Frank, Leonard and Cecil.
Mom was born and raised in Kincardine, making her way to London Ontario where she attended Westervelt College. It was in London she met and married Clare. They moved to Sarnia where mom worked at Catalytic in Accounting and Payroll. She raised three boys and returned to the work world at Woolco for an extended time until retirement. Knitting needlepoint crochet and gardening were hobbies and a passion to pass the time. Kids Sweaters to Afghans blankets to Men’s Cardigans filled her days. The home and especially the kitchen filled her time when we were younger. Baked goods, Bread buns, Canned Goods, Pies, homemade jams, and jellies were regular fare from a compact kitchen. Things seemed to disappear before they got a chance to cool. The grandkids fondly remember the Cherry Cheesecakes.
Inseparable in 68 years of marriage Mom and Dad are back together in spirit after a short break. The family thanks the staff of both Marshall Gowland Manor and Rosewood for their care in the last years.
Cremation has taken place. Internment at Resurrection Cemetery at a later date. As an expression of sympathy, friends who wish may send memorial donations to a charity of their choice.
