Obituary of Cyntheia Louise Thibodeau
THIBODEAU, Cyntheia Louise “Cindy” (Stewart)
It is with great sadness that the family announces Cindy’s passing at home on Friday, July 12th, 2024, after a short battle with cancer at the age of 62. Loving wife and best friend to David (d. 2018) and cherished mother of Shawn (Leanne) and Charmaine (Tim). Devoted grandmother of Rayden, Connor, McKenna, Colten, Chloe and Alice. Loving sister of Larry (d. 2024)(Karen), Ed (Vivan), Dean (Kelly) and Leisa Muscat (Andy), who have been among her biggest supporters. Much loved daughter-in-law of Laurien and Elizabeth Thibodeau, brothers-in-law John and Michael and sister-in-law Laurie Bielby (Doug). She will be dearly remembered by her nieces, nephews and cousins from the Stewart, Muscat, Reid and Thibodeau families. She will also be greatly missed by her and David’s closest friends and chosen family, Mike and Bridget Oulette and their families.
Cindy was known most for putting everyone’s needs ahead of her own, her devotion and dedication to her family and the love she shared with her children, grandchildren, siblings and closest friends. Camping with her friends and family, spending time tending to her gardens, cooking, baking and crafting were her happiest places to be. Cindy worked for several years at Gilmore Lodge as a PSW, where she served on several committees and had a passion for palliative care and devotion to the residents she served. Cindy most recently worked at Pen Plast in Fort Erie, where she developed many friendships and supporters during her time there. In her earlier years, Cindy also served with the Ridgeway-Crystal Beach Kinettes and her and Dave and the family spent many summers at the Bertie Boat Club where she developed many lifelong friends.
At Cindy’s request, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will take place in the Williams Funeral Services Chapel on Sunday, July 21st, 2024 at Noon with visitation to commence 1 hour prior. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Cindy’s most cherished charity C.O.P.E., which she contributed to frequently, would be appreciated by the family.
We all have peace in knowing that Mom and Dad are reunited and in each other’s arms once again.
