1932 – 2024
After a life well lived, Marie passed away peacefully at Renfrew Victoria Hospital on August 6, 2024 at the age of 92.
Predeceased by her husband Bill (2017) and son Joe (1973).
Survived by sons Jim (Millie) and Jon (Ellie). Proud Granny of Jeremy, Daniel, Joe, Jana & Carly and many great-grandchildren.
Predeceased by brothers Ray (late Dorothy), Floyd (Verna), Peter (late Ellen) and Bob (Sylvia). Survived by her sister, Norma Smith (late Arnold).
Marie loved the outdoors and spent many days ice fishing the lakes in the Calabogie/ Black Donald area. She will be missed by her faithful friend and fishing buddy, Ann Stubinsky.
Marie will be remembered by many for her gifts of cookies. There was always a batch “stirred up” in the fridge, ready to bake and give away when needed.
Thank you to Dr. Pinard and the staff at Bonnechere Manor for the care and kindness given to Marie.
Final arrangements entrusted to Zohr Family Funeral Home, Renfrew. As wished by Marie, there will be no visitation. A graveside service will be held in the Fall.
