Irene’s Obituary
Irene passed away peacefully on October 5th at the Red Lake Margaret Cochenour Memorial Hospital with her family by her side at the age of 67.
She will be lovingly remembered by her Husband Peter Thompson, Son Riel Einer Olsen, Sisters Alice Olsen Williams (Donna, Keesic, Sagateh and Sarah), Helen (Garth) Agger (Leslie Agger), Kaaren (Phil) Dannenmann (Marney Vermette, Kaaren Stevens, Micheal Brunton), Anita Olsen Harper (Kaaren Lawford, Grant Bokvist, Gaylen Bokvist).
Predeceased by Dad Einer Olsen, Mom Sarah Keesick Olsen, Brother Harold Einer Olsen, Brother-in-law Elijah Harper and nephew Dylan Bokvist.
Survived by many loving great-nieces and great-nephews – Devin (Sutton) and Alysha Parks, Amelia (Jax) Williams, Hannah and Sinead Teevan, Emilia-Helen Chernish, Sarah Dodic, Anton Dodic and Auna Vermette, Shayne Stevens-Campeau and Mac Stevens, Anna-Lise and Keiran Lawford, Payton Myers and little Vada Bokvist.
Visitation will be held at Grace Community Church on Friday, October 6th from 7 to 10 pm. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 7th at 10 am in the Grace Community Church with Henry Hostetler officiating. A private burial will be on Sunday, October 8th at the Namegosibiing Traditional Cemetery.
Donations in her memory may be made to The Red Lake Emergency Shelter or Memory In Miles through the Red Lake Chapel, Box 237, Red Lake, ON P0V 2M0.
