Gordon Dennis Brooks of Red Lake, ON passed away Tuesday, September 26, 2023 in Weyburn, Sask. of a heart attack. They were on their way for another vacation to Florida.
Gord grew up in Midland, Ontario and moved to Red Lake in 1977 with his new bride and stayed for 46 years. He is survived by his loving wife Shirley, three children Laura Green (Jason), Leslie Robinson (Jamie), and Jeff Brooks (Kandi-Lee) and four grandchildren who meant the world to him; Emma and James Green, and Kinley and Wyatt Robinson. He is also survived by his siblings Larry Brooks (Barb), Bev Steele, Joyce Brooks, his mother-in-law Wilma Pearson, brother-in-law Lane Pearson, sister-in-law Heather McFadyen (Craig Pyke), and many nieces, nephews, and grandnieces.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 21st at 1 pm in the Red Lake District High School Gymnasium.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Terry Fox Foundation through the Red Lake Chapel, P.O. Box 237, Red Lake, ON P0V 2M0.
