Bernice’s Obituary
Bernice was an extraordinary strong and independent woman, who did things on her own terms. She always had a reason for doing things her own way. She had a big heart and would be there for any friends who needed her. She loved to fish and any outdoor activities. She was also an avid bowler and her greatest achievement was to be as good as her dad. She had many job experiences from camp cook, laborer, to welder, she mastered them all.
She left Red Lake in 2010 to make her home in Penticton B.C., and in her last year completed her education at Sundance College to receive her certificate as a C.P.A. She was looking forward to starting her own business. She managed to stand tall with no help from anyone. No one knows her inner strength or how many tears she shed alone.
She will be sadly missed by her sister Sandra and brother-in-law Robert Borchers of Chapleau, Ontario and youngest sister Lynn Granstrom of Red Lake she was estranged from her 4 children but loved them all unconditionally.
She is predeceased by her father Robert Granstrom, mother Pauline Granstrom, and older brother Joseph Granstrom.
As per her request cremation will take place and no funeral will be held.
In memory of Bernice donations can be sent to mikegranstrom@gmail.com to be dispersed to her special requests.
