CASSELMAN, BEATRICE BETTY (nee THORPE)
After a brief illness, Beatrice Betty Casselman passed away peacefully at the Brockville Hospital Palliative Care unit on March 3, 2024. Beloved wife of the late Albert H. Casselman and the late Cyril H. Lackey. Only daughter of Charles and Florence Thorpe. Predeceased by brothers William and Donald Loving mother of Lorraine (Peter) and Charles (Debbie). Dear grandmother of Jason, Scott and Jeffrey and great grandmother of Alya. Sister of Carl Thorpe (Donna) and sister in law of Donna Thorpe (Donald predeceased). She will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews, extended family, and friends. A wife, mother, daughter, aunt, cousin, grandmother, great grandmother and friend, she always found time to share with those she loved. A talented crafter, she did stained glass, knitted, crocheted, and embroidered. Leaving behind many treasurers of her works to family and friends. Many thanks to the staff and friends at Rosedale Retirement residence and the nursing staff at the Palliative Care unit of the Brockville General Hospital.
