Olga Armenti Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother and grandmother on December 16, 2024 at the age of 87 at the Welland Hospital, peacefully surrounded with her family at her side.
She will be forever missed by her daughters Rosanna (Roger), Diana (Shawn), her loving grandson Matthew Archambault (May). She is survived by her brothers Mario D’Uva (Joanne), Alfie D’Uva (Angie) of Port Colborne, Emilio D’Uva (Gianna) of Italy, her sisters in-law Suora Enza Armenti of Italy, and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband Achille – 2022, parents Pasquale and Marietta D’Uva, daughters Marcella and Claudia Armenti and by her sister in laws Maria (Dominic) Vacca, Nicolina Armenti of Niagara Falls, and her nephews Antonio Vacca and Lonny D’Uva. Olga was born in Castelpetroso, Italy on December 26,1937 and married Achille in 1963. She worked at the Shoe Factory and the Port Colborne Poultry. She enjoyed exercising with her friends at the YMCA, and spending time at her cottage and at the beach. She was on the Port Colborne Bocci team and a member of the Italian Canadian Cultural Club, where she made lifelong friendships, and had many dinners. She had many hobbies including gardening, making tomato sauce, sewing, and of course; cooking for her family. She was always very active, she always kept busy. She was a very giving person, and family was everything to her. She cooked dinner for her family every Sunday.
The Armenti family will receive friends at the ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 179 Clarence Street, Port Colborne on Thursday December 19, 2024 from 2-4 p.m. & 6-8 p.m. Vigil Prayers will be recited at the funeral home at 6 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be held on Friday December 20, 2024 at St. Therese of Lisieux Roman Catholic Church, 379 Fares Street, Port Colborne at 11 a.m. with Father Daniele Bertoldi as celebrant. Rite of Committal at Mt. St. Joseph Cemetery. If so desired, memorial donations may be made to St. Therese of Lisieux Church or the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
