Kozelj, Franjo “Frank”
Passed away on November 6, 2024 at University Hospital in London at the age of 89. Survived by his daughters Goldie (Peter) and Ann, by his son Steve (Dana), and by his granddaughter Jennifer. He is also survived by his cousins, nieces and nephews in Canada and Croatia. Franjo was predeceased by; his wife Barica, son Joseph, parents Jakov and Ana, brothers Jakov, Josip, Ivan and Nikola, and by his sister Anka Hozjan.
Franjo was born on April 2, 1935 in Jurovski Brod, Croatia. He came to Canada in 1960 and married Barica in 1963. He had a talent for auto body repair work and fixing and rebuilding engines. During his life he enjoyed fishing, hunting, going to the cottage on weekends and socializing with friends.
The family will receive friends at the ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 179 Clarence Street, Port Colborne on Monday November 11, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Funeral Service will follow in the Armstrong Chapel at 2:00 p.m. with Fr. Peter Walton as celebrant. Rite of Committal will follow at Mt. St. Joseph Cemetery, Port Colborne. If so desired, memorial donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
