BUEHLOW, Marcus John
Passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, September 22, 2024, at St. Mary’s General Hospital, Kitchener. Marcus was born 86 years ago in Morrisburg, Ontario and has been a long-time resident of the New Hamburg Community.
Cherished and loving husband of Edna (Lange) Buehlow, whom he married 62 years ago. Devoted father of Elizabeth Buehlow, David Buehlow and Mary Seltzer. Proud grandfather and great-grandfather of Jacob Tubman and his children Aubree and Skylar; Emma Powell (David), Isaac Seltzer and Carl Seltzer. Marcus will be dearly missed by Isaac and Carl’s father Todd Seltzer, his sister Betty Murray, sisters-in-law Millie Buehlow, Barbara Schoof, Danita (Lloyd) Wolfgram, brother-in-law Michael (Judy) Lange and by his many nieces and nephews. He will also be missed by his Goddaughter Kimberly Wolfgram.
Marcus is predeceased by his parents Rev. Arthur Buehlow and the former Edna Schaefer, brothers David Buehlow and Fred Buehlow and brothers-in-law Bob Murray, Bob Schoof and John Powell.
Marcus was a very involved and active member of Trinity Lutheran Church, New Hamburg. He enjoyed woodworking and creating various projects and crosses. He loved the outdoors; fishing, playing and watching baseball and riding his bicycle. Marcus loved spending time with his family and cherished all the memories made with them.
At Marcus’s request, cremation has taken place. Relatives and friends are invited to Trinity Lutheran Church, 23 Church Street, New Hamburg for a time of memorial visitation on Friday September 27, 2024, from 1 until the time of the memorial service at 2:00 p.m. Pastor Tanya Varner to officiate. For those unable to attend the service, it will be available by livetsream on the church website.
As expressions of sympathy, donations would be accepted to Trinity Lutheran Church or St. Mary’s General Hospital, Cardiac Unit and can be done on the funeral home website or by contacting the funeral home.
