Passed away peacefully with her family by her side at Lakefield Extendicare on Saturday, May 4, 2024 in her 94th year. Daughter of the late Fioravente Flamminio and Anna Di Leandro. Born in Ortona Amare Province Chieti, Italy. Loving wife of the late Nicola Di Ilio (1992). Loving mother of Rita Di Ilio (Robert Dedman), Sandra Di Ilio (Robert Walsh), Cristina Di Ilio Fairbairn (Douglas), and Marco Di Ilio (Susan). Cherished Nonna to Angela (Mark Goodridge), Loredonna Di Ilio (Chad O’Grady), Vanessa (Mario Cozzarini), Matthew O’Neill (Jill), Courtney (Carter Williams), Dianna Fairbairn, Braiedon Di Ilio, Nyla Di Ilio, and Nathan Di Ilio. Nonina to Gia and Ellis Goodridge. Sister to the late Albert (Francis Flamminio), the late Giovanni Flamminio (the late Rita), Camilla DeNoble (the late Domenico), the late Giacomo Flamminio (the late Yolanda), the late Nicola Flamminio, the late Olga Cupido (the late Guerino), Maria D’Angelo (the late Antonio), Donato Flamminio the late Lillian), Lidia Mazziotti (the late Gennero) and the late Amedeo Mike Flamminio (Wendy). Sister-in-law to Maria, Enrico, and the late Antonio Di Ilio. Vita will be remembered by her many nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the HIGHLAND PARK FUNERAL CENTRE, 2510 Bensfort Rd., on Thursday from 6:00-9:00 PM. Funeral Mass will be held at ST. ANNE ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH, (859 Barnardo Ave., Peterborough on Friday, May 10, 2024 at 10:00 AM. Interment Highland Park Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to reception at the Highland Park Funeral Centre following the Funeral Mass and Interment.
