LYE, Ronald William (40 year Electrical Engineer Canadian General Electric): After a brief illness and with family by his side, Ron passed away peacefully at PRHC on Sunday, January 7th, 2024 in his 97th year. Ron, beloved husband of June, and the late Joan Paterson. Loving father of Andy (Wendy), Michele Lye, and step father of Pam Downer, and Patti Burke (Dan). Cherished grandfather of Ryan (Katrina), Dustin, Callie (John), Shelby (Gavin), Sarah (Pete), Katie (Dan), Laura (Griff), and Daniel (Jen), and several great grandchildren. Survived by his sister Jackie Rohan. Son of the late Henry and Hazel Lye of McGreggor, Manitoba.
A Graveside service will take place in Rosemount Memorial Gardens on Friday, January 12th at 11:00am followed by a reception in the Fireside Room of Canterbury Gardens. In memory of Ron, and in lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Society or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by his family. Ron’s family would like to thank the Nurses and Doctor’s of the Palliative Care unit of PRHC for their exceptional care and compassion shown to Ron and family during his brief time with them.
