COSTA, Joseph (Joe) of Peterborough, Ontario
January 28th 1952 – December 22nd 2023
Passed away peacefully with his family by his side at Hospice Peterborough after a courageous battle with cancer at the age of 71.
Joe was the loving husband of Carol Anne. Loving son of the late Rosina and Domenic. Devoted and loving father of Stacey Macintosh (Andrew) and Michael Costa (Lauren). Loving Nono of Max, Charlotte, Alyssa, Isla, and Liliana. Brother of Nazerino, Sara, Frank, and the late Salvatore. Brother in law to Donald Litkowich (Anne), Susan Ruscitti (Tony) and the late Larry Wright (Jacquie). Joe will be missed by his many family and friends.
Joe was always a hard worker throughout his many career endeavours. He thoroughly enjoyed the wilderness and being outdoors. He loved fishing, boating, golfing, playing baseball and trailer life. He had a passion for wine making, cultivating gardens, playing guitar, and he especially appreciated classic rock and folk music. He enjoyed and maintained many strong and lifelong friendships and one of his favourite things was being surrounded by family and friends at the dinner table.
A Celebration of Joe’s life will take place and there will be more details to follow.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to Hospice Peterborough or the Peterborough Regional Health Centre Foundation would be appreciated.
