Surrounded by love, Jean peacefully left this world on December 17, 2023, at the Peterborough Regional Health Center, ready to reunite with her loving husband, Donald Douglas Scott.
Jean’s vibrant spirit lives on through the cherished memories she created with her adoring family. She is survived by her three loving children: Kim Schick (Kevin), Richard Scott (Colette), and Leslie Legge. Jean’s role as a cherished grandmother to Chelsey, Richard, Cooper, and Christina brought immeasurable joy and love into her life, leaving a lasting legacy of warmth and laughter.
Born into a loving family, Jean shared a special bond with her surviving siblings, Helen Crampton (Ken) and Robert Black (Sam). She is pre-deceased by her siblings Jack Black (Gerry) and Alma McGregor (Jack). Together, they formed a tight-knit group that added to the richness of her life in Peterborough.
Jean’s heart found its happiest moments at Balm Beach, where she created enduring memories during family vacations. The sun, sand, and laughter were the backdrop to countless stories that will be treasured for generations to come.
Jean took delight in life’s simple pleasures. Whether sipping on a perfectly crafted dry martini, engrossed in a captivating murder mystery novel, or reveling in the timeless charm of Pride and Prejudice.
As we bid farewell to a remarkable soul, may Jean Scott rest in eternal peace, surrounded by the joy and love she brought to all who were fortunate enough to know and love her. Her memory will forever be a beacon of inspiration and happiness in our hearts.
