McEWAN; Cecile (née Genereaux)
Passed away at Lakeridge Health Centre, Oshawa on Thursday, December 28, 2023 at the age of 68. Cecile will be forever loved and missed by her husband, Glen McEwan and her dog, Ty. Dear sister of Valerie Gates (the late James). The second mom to niece, Miranda Tucker (Jeremy) and nephew, Jaden Gates (Laura).
Cecile was known for her love of music and she was bigger than any party! She brought her own ‘howling’ good time when she entered the room and her trademark one liners such as: ‘chill baby, chill’ and ‘too cool, too cool’. You never knew what she would show up with at your house, but her nieces and nephews would always call her, ‘crazy Aunt Cecile’. We are now left to learn how to live without her energy and left to ‘wear the clown costume’ in a part she did so well.
A celebration of Cecile’s life will be held on Friday, January 12, 2024 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at the Peterborough Legion – 1550 Lansdowne Street, Peterborough. Memorial donations to the Lakefield Animal Welfare Society would be greatly appreciated.
