With her family by her side at the Peterborough Regional Health Centre Palliative Care on Thursday, March 28, 2024 in her 89th year. Beloved wife of Frank Wakeford for 64 wonderful years. Loving mother of Carrie Wakeford and her partner Patrick Kenney, and Jeff Wakeford and his wife Susan. Cherished grandmother of Wesleigh Wakeford and Rebecca Dickey (Josh). Special great grandmother of Samuel, Aliyah and Claire. Predeceased by her sister Islay McGee and her husband Doug. Carol will be sadly missed by Sheila McGee (Becky Mowat), Michael McGee (Tammy) and her many nieces, nephews and friends. There will be a Celebration of Carol’s Life held at the HIGHLAND PARK FUNERAL CENTRE, 2510 Bensfort Rd., Peterborough on Sunday, April 7, 2024 from 1:00-3:00 PM with a moment of reflection beginning at 2:00 PM. In memory of Carol and in lieu of flowers, donations to the Salvation Army or the St. Vincent de Paul Society would be appreciated by the family.
