Sally Elizabeth Norman passed away peacefully at home, with her family by her side, on Tuesday, July 2nd, 2024. Age 79 years.
Beloved wife of Colin Norman for 54 years. Loving mother of Bruce and his wife Simone; Andrew and his wife Petra; and Russell. Cherished Granny of Amelia, Pippa, Kieran, Alcide, and Tau. Dear sister of Caroline and her husband Roger Lake. Sister-in-law of Brian Goodland (the late Marion). Lovingly remembered by her nieces, nephews, other relatives in the U.K., and by her many friends.
Sally and Colin had fun together for over 50 years! While she was very independent, she was also part of the team with Colin — and they did everything together. Sally joined Colin camping when he took the Scouts out into the wilderness. Colin’s work trips took them all over North America, which sparked their love for travel – they were lucky to enjoy several trips a year together.
Sally’s hobbies included quilting, and she also started book clubs with her friends. She will be remembered for being full of energy and for her positive attitude.
Sally’s family would like to extend a special Thank You to her incredible care team, who looked after her over the last four years.
Friends will be received at the Logan Funeral Home on Saturday, August 17th from 10:00 – 11:00 A.M.
A Celebration of Sally’s Life will take place in the Logan Memorial Chapel on Saturday, August 17th at 11:00 A.M. Reception to follow.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to Ovarian Cancer Canada would be appreciated (donations on-line directly with Ovarian Cancer Canada or by cheque only please).
