Peacefully, surrounded by all her loving family on Friday July 19, 2024, at the age of 75. Predeceased by her husband Brian Phillips and Wayne Small. Loving mother of Susan Phillips, (Dave Long), Rob Phillips and son(Ryne), Karen Phillips (Steve Plume) and Bryanne (Nic VanKampen). Predeceased by her daughter Kathy Phillips. Beloved grandmother to Nicole, Jesse, Morgan, Mike, Matthew, Jenna Jaymi, Ashtyn, Ryne, Elaine and Norman. Great-grandmother to Ryder, Jack, Finn, Charlie, Connor, Logan.
Joyce is survived by her siblings Florence Kirkham (late Everitt), Lawrence Wickman (Midge), Lois Wickman (Trail McWhirter) and Dale Wickman (Sue). Predeceased by Eleanor, Gerald Donald, Doreen, Doris, Roger and Marg.
Joyce loved time with her family and friends at the trailer. She had a lifelong love of playing cards (crib and euchre) and marbles. She also had a lifelong passion for thrift stores, and garage sales. Her motto was “It’s not hoarding if you have awesome stuff!”
She will be forever loved and missed by everyone she touched, especially her many friends, family, many nieces and nephews and her honourary grandchildren.
Cremation has taken place.
The Celebration of life will be held at the Torrance Funeral Home (89 Bowes St., Parry Sound) on Saturday July 27, 2024, from 11 AM – 2 PM with words of remembrance at 12 Noon. As an expression of sympathy donations to the family to assist with expenses would be appreciated.
