With the heaviest of hearts we announce the passing of Gail Mayhew at the age of 80.
Gail joins her husband Ron Mayhew who she has missed for eight years.
Gail leaves behind her sister, Carole McIntyre (husband Donnie McIntyre – deceased).
Gail is predeceased by her parents Milt and Viola Haskim.
She joins her siblings and in laws that have predeceased her
Sister Skippy (Rose) Fawcett – husband Jasper Fawcett
Sister Burdee Gibson – husband Tim Gibson
Brother Chuck Haskim and Sister Betty Ann Haskim
Grieving this huge loss are
Her children Cheryl Haskim-Mayhew, Jason Mayhew – wife Ann, JJ Mayhew and Emily.
Her grandchildren who meant the absolute world to her
Adam Secord and wife Jacquie, Matt Mayhew, Colby Arra, Connor Arra and Colton Mayhew.
Gail will be greatly missed by all of the Mayhew family.
Her many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great, great nieces and nephews, (which are far too many to name) and many cherished friends.
Gail loved her children and grandchildren more than anything else in her life BUT she never forgot one niece, nephew, great niece, great nephew or great, great nieces and nephews birthday or any of them at Christmas.
Gail loved music, singing, playing cards, bowling, gambling, swimming and cherished every family get together and family trip.
Gail worked as a supervisor of the admitting department at the Parry Sound General Hospital for over 40 years. After retiring she delivered for Pizza Hut.
We cannot put into words how much she is missed and will be missed forever.
A Celebration of Life will be held on July 6, 2024 at the Mactier Legion 12:00 noon until 4:00 p.m. Eulogy and anyone who would like to speak will begin around 2:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers (which Gail was allergic to) if you wish to donate to the Seniors Centre, Parry Sound or Aspen Valley Wildlife Sanctuary.
