Born on May 27th, 1940 in Brantford, Ontario Judy is predeceased by her parents James and Mary McGrandles. Judy is survived by her devoted husband, Otto Heinzl, with whom she shared 65 years of marriage. Judy was the mother of Todd Heinzl (Linda Zanon) and Carrie Heinzl.
Judy was grandmother to 4 beautiful granddaughters: Taylor Ann McKay (Nigel McKay), Cailey Joann Meade-Heinzl, Jordan Paige Neely, and Kaya McKenzie Heinzl. Judith was further blessed to be a great-grandmother to Liam Christopher McKay and Avarie Ann McKay.
Judy was a sister and is survived by her brother James McGrandles (Carol McGrandles) and her niece Lori Beth McGrandles (Ray) along with her grand-nephew Leo McGrandles.
Although Judy was born in Brantford, Ontario she moved to Sarnia, Ontario not once but twice after a short time spent in Markham, Ontario ultimately settling in Paris, Ontario. She often remarked how she enjoyed Sarnia, chips under the bridge, and walks in Canatara Park.
Some of her favourite life moments were cottaging near Lions Head in the Bruce Peninsula, Bridge even though Otto was a better card player, reading trashy Daniel Steele novels, and her love for coffee – good or bad.
Funeral arrangements entrusted to the Dwayne D. Budgell Funeral Home. In accordance with Judy’s expressed wishes, cremation has already taken place. A Private Family Service will be held at a later date. Donations to a charity of your choice in Judy’s memory would be appreciated by the family.
