Richard “Rick” Albert Levesque
It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing Richard (Rick), age 78 at the Ottawa General Hospital with his beloved wife of 51 years Diane (Monette) by his side. He had a long and courageous fight with cancer.
Rick was a die hard Montreal Canadian fan and loved the Montreal Expos. Upon retiring, Rick and Diane enjoyed an active lifestyle travelling and working on his paintings and just enjoying life. They were very much inseparable. He will forever be loved and missed by his wife Diane. Predeceased by his parents Jean-Maurice and Rollande (Provost), brother Robert (Bob).
He leaves behind his loving wife Diane, sisters Sue (Bruce) Antonello and Lorraine (Mark) Paladeau, brothers in law, the late Leo-Paul Monette (Ann), John (Pierrette) Monette and sisters in law, Irene (the late Andre) Cardinal, Monique (Romeo) Clement and Suzanne Letang (the late Murray Gray) numerous nephews and nieces and their families in particular Erik Cardinal and Eric Letang and numerous friends especially Alison and Francois, and Glenna and Ed who called weekly from the States to check up on him, and neighbours Luc and Francine who were and are always available to give a helping hand.
Thank you to all who helped care for him along the way, including Dr Visentin (Civic Hospital), Dr Canil (Ottawa General Hospital), Dr Delluc (Ottawa General Hospital), Dr Zimmerman (Riverside Hospital) and Dr Cardinal and Jessica in the ICU and many more at the General Hospital.
For those wishing to send donations in memory of Rick to the Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.
With deep love and gratitude. Until we meet again.
