Michel Cabana passed away peacefully at the age of 58 on Tuesday, May 7th, 2024. He leaves behind his cherished husband, Ronald Comtois. Michel was the loving son of the late Madeleine Labrie and Michel Cabana. He was a caring brother to Serge Cabana (Gisela Deeke), Sylvie Langlois, and Charles Langlois (Julie Marlot).
Michel was also a beloved uncle to Melissa Cabana (Daniel), Amanda Cabana, Catrina Cabana (Jean-Phillipe), and Sergianne Cabana (Michaël). He will be remembered fondly as a great uncle by many. His extended family included his loving in-laws, Suzanne Brooks (Ronald), Michael Comtois (Carol), and Richard Comtois.
Michel’s career was enriched by his role at The Privy Council Office, where his dedication was evident. His passion for dancing and choreography brought him countless lifelong friends, especially within his extended line dancing family, The Crazy Soles. Their connections spanned across Montreal, Cornwall, Belleville, Toronto, and Wasaga Beach. Michel’s warm heart and generous spirit made a lasting impact on all of us.
A celebration of Michel’s life will take place on Tuesday, May 14th, 2024, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Heritage Funeral Complex, 1250 Trim Road, Ottawa. Beverages and a light lunch will be served to honor his memory. Michel will always be remembered for his joy of dancing, his kindness, and the wonderful way he touched the lives of those around him.

Michel Cabana est décédé paisiblement à l’âge de 58 ans, le mardi 7 mai 2024. Il laisse dans le deuil son époux bien-aimé Ronald Comtois. Il était le fils de feu Madeleine Labrie et de feu Michel Cabana. Il était le cher frère de Serge Cabana (Gisela Deeke), Sylvie Langlois et Charles Langlois (Julie Marlot).
Il laisse également dans le deuil ses nièces Melissa Cabana (Daniel), Amanda Cabana, Catrina Cabana (Jean-Phillipe) et Sergianne Cabana (Michaël). Il restera gravé dans les mémoires de tous comme un grand oncle bien-aimé. Sa famille élargie comprend sa belle-famille, Suzanne Brooks (Ronald), Michael Comtois (Carol) et Richard Comtois.
La carrière de Michel a été enrichie par son rôle au Bureau du Conseil privé, où son dévouement était évident. Sa passion pour la danse et la chorégraphie lui a valu d’innombrables amis pour la vie, en particulier au sein de sa famille élargie de danse en ligne, les Crazy Soles. Leurs relations s’étendaient à Montréal, Cornwall, Belleville, Toronto et Wasaga Beach. Le cœur chaleureux et l’esprit généreux de Michel ont eu un impact durable sur nous tous.
Une célébration de la vie de Michel aura lieu le mardi 14 mai 2024, de 11h à 16h, au Complexe funéraire Héritage, 1250, ch. Trim, Ottawa. Des rafreshisements seront servis en son honneur pour honorer sa mémoire. On se souviendra toujours de Michel pour sa joie de danser, sa gentillesse et la façon merveilleuse dont il a touché la vie de ceux qui l’entouraient.
