LeCours, Majella Ann
It is with great sorrow that our sweet Majella Ann LeCours (nee McDermott) has passed away too soon after a short but valiant battle with cancer on Thursday, October 12, 2023.
Majella was born on September 9, 1967 in Clones Co.Monaghan Ireland and moved to Ottawa Canada in the late 70’s. After Majella graduated from Colonel By high school, she went on to study marketing at Algonquin college and then started her career in advertisement with the Ottawa Business Journal. In 1989 she met the love of her life, Patrick, they married and soon started a family having two beautiful children Siobhan and Kyle. Pat and Majella also worked diligently as a team to create a successful business where she worked with great pride and joy.
Majella’s happy place was by far the beloved cottage that she built with her dear husband, cultivating a wonderful and welcoming space where she enjoyed hiking, boating, skiing and snowmobiling. Majella was the quintessential hostess and she loved entertaining her many friends and family.
She is predeceased by her father George McDermott, mother Molly, brother Edward & sister Marie. Sadly missed and dearly loved by her husband Patrick LeCours, and children Siobhan & Kyle, her sister in law Colleen, brothers George, John & Jim, sisters Anna, Christine & Karen and very close extended family and friends.
A service followed by a reception will be held at Hulse Playfair & McGarry 315 McLeod Street on Thursday, October 19, 2023 at 2pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to The Canadian Liver Foundation Bile Duct Cancer (Cholangiocarcinoma)
