Evelyn “Veryl” Cobb, passed away peacefully at the Ottawa Civic Hospital on Monday, September 23, 2024, at the age of 88 years.
Veryl Cobb of Ottawa, went home to be with her Lord and Saviour and to join her husband, William, who passed away in 2018. Veryl and William led a rich and wonderful life. She loved education and her teaching career in the Medical Sciences Spaces at Queen’s University and Algonquin College. Some of you reading this may have been one of her students. Veryl’s other passion was helping and being part of the church community, guiding youth programs and being an active board member at Asher House in Ottawa.
Veryl will be deeply missed by her sons David Cobb and Andrew Cobb and by her daughter Judy Prezeau (husband Lloyd). She will be missed by her loving grandsons, Derek, Nigel and Kory.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2024, at the West Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 150 Woodroffe Avenue, (at Richmond Rd.), Ottawa, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held in the Chapel at 12:00 p.m., followed by a reception and then the interment in Pinecrest Cemetery.
Donations, in memory of Veryl, may be made to Harvest House or Campus Crusade for Christ.
