James Arthur Laird, 68, passed away peacefully at home on September 23,2024.
He was born on July 17,1956 in Trenton, ON to parents Joyce and Donald Laird.
After spending most of his younger years in Trenton, Jim ended up settling and making roots in Oshawa, ON when he landed employment at that time J&M Sandblasting and now Lesco Restoration as an auto body restorer and yard foreman where he made many life-long friends. He continued his journey at the same shop for over 25 years, before he retired out only a few short years ago to spend time with family and friends.
Jim is survived by his loving wife Judy Laird of Oshawa, his son Corey Bristol of Kingston, his step daughter and step son-in-law Jennifer King and Steven Browne of Oshawa, and his step daughter and step son-in-law Sarah and Nick Jones of Courtice, as well as his four amazing grandchildren Kayden Bristol, Adrian Browne, Nathan Jones and Makayla Jones. And brother Jeff Laird of Trenton. He was preceded in death by his mother Joyce Laird and his father Donald Laird.
There will be a cremation and a celebration of life to follow at a later date.
