Passed away peacefully at Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital on Saturday August 24th 2024 in his 86th year. Beloved husband of the late Inghilt Leicht. Loving father of Gizella Burt (John), Melinda Leicht, Eric Leicht, Tanya Friebele (Leary) and Astrid Leicht. Cherished grandfather of Jennifer, Sarah, Melissa, Josie, William, Adam, Emily, Annalissa, Nicholas, Gabrielle and great grandfather of Alianna. Predeceased by his 3 siblings. Visitation will be held at the Simcoe Funeral Home, 38 James Street Orillia on Thursday August 29th 2024 from 6-8 p.m. A private family Celebration of Mass will be held at the Church of the Canadian Martyrs, 9767 Hwy 12 Warminster on Friday August 30th at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be held at St. Michael’s Catholic Cemetery in Orillia. As an expression of sympathy memorial donations may be made to the Church of the Canadian Martyrs through the Simcoe Funeral Home (705) 327-0221.
