Lamb, Grace Marion
Grace (Bickell) Lamb of Ramara Township, beloved wife of the late Arthur Lamb, passed away at Soldier’s Memorial Hospital Orillia, on Sunday, September 29, 2024, after a brief illness. Grace just celebrated her 95th birthday at a family barbeque with her children and many of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren on August 31st. Grace and Art had four children: Fred (Marilyn), Barrie; Barry, Orillia; Karen (Bruce Bartlet), Port Robinson; and Robert (Janet Porter), Brechin. Dear grandmother to Chris, Becki, Scott, Jacob, Stephanie, and Cassandra; great-grandmother to Madison, Shyanne, Brielle, Rowan, Zoey and Beau. Grace was predeceased by her parents: James and Katie (Wires) Bickell; sister Alma McMillian; brothers: John, Joe, and George; and by her beloved son Barry. Grace has left behind her sisters: Ruth Shaw, Elva Dahms, Audrey Langman, Katherine (George) Langman, and Helen (Bart) Vanderlans; her brother Donald; and her many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
The family will receive visitors at the Simcoe Funeral Home, 38 James Street E. Orillia on Thursday, October 3, 2024, from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. and 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Knox Presbyterian Church, Uptergrove on Friday, October 4, 2024, at 1:30 p.m. with an opportunity for visitation at 1:00 p.m. Interment will occur at the Udney United Church Cemetery (4669 County Road 169) immediately following the service. Memorial donations may be made to Knox Presbyterian Church, Uptergrove where Grace and Art and their children created many lifelong memories.
