It is with tremendous sadness that Brian’s family announce his passing at the Kingston Health Sciences Centre on Friday, May 17, 2024, at the age of 70. His loving wife and best friend of 50 years, Marg Weese (née Cox) was by his side. Father of Jeremy (Angela) and Kim (Greg), grandfather of Garret and Hannah. Son of the late Keith and Idell Weese, Brian will be deeply missed by his brothers Murray Weese and Doug Weese, and by his sisters Nancy Doucette, Mary Senior (Rick), Darlene McMullen and Laurie Lavery (Ken). Proud uncle to many nieces and nephews.
Brian and Marg operated the Devon Café in Tamworth for many years, recently retiring in March of this year. They were a great team, always together, forming many friendships along the way. In his early working days, Brian was a crane operator and owner of Kingston Crane Rental 1999 Ltd. He was also a proud member of the Tamworth and District Lions Club. Brian courageously battle Parkinson’s for over 15 years, he never complained, each day was a gift. His strength and determination will always be admired and he will be deeply missed by those who knew him.
The family will receive friends at Payne Funeral Home, 178 Main St., Odessa on Sunday, May 26th from 12-5 pm. Funeral Service will be held at Centreville United Church on Monday, May 27th at 1 pm. Interment will follow at Pioneer Cemetery in Centreville.
For those desiring and in lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Parkinson Canada or the Tamworth and District Lions Club would be appreciated by the family.
Please share your memories and condolences to the family.
