Obituary
After several health battles Dottie died after spending a great day with her husband Bob and son Rob.
Dot was a farmer that hated dehorning cattle, but did it. She drove grain trucks and made a million meals. She made sure her kids had every pet possible. She lifeguarded and coached swim club at the North Battleford swimming pool. She managed the Battleford’s Water Slide and then was a travel agent. Her last job was a real estate agent in Toronto where she won rookie of the year.
Left to carry on her legacy:
Her loving husband Bob Kent
Brother Roy Poynter.
Daughter Kelly Soaré & her husband Georges, their son Rémi & his fiancé Kristen Pow, daughter Céline and her partner Gabi Pitten
Son Rob Kent & his wife Joanne, their son Dylan, his wife Olga & their son Luka, daughters Maisey & her wife Mia Nonnenberg, & Jillian & partner Patrick Power.
Son Ted Kent & his wife Kim, their daughter Mackenzie & her fiancé Austin Eberle, son Carter & fiancé Sarah Hameluck
We will always remember her for her tenacity, humour and her love of life and family.
A Memorial Reception will take place on Sunday September 15, 2024 at Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Road West, Oakville (one block East of Kerr Street) from 2 pm – 4 pm.
