GALELLA, Francesco ‘Frank’ – Passed away suddenly at his vacation home on Monday October 9, 2023 at the age of 74. Frank was a loyal and devoted husband of 39 years to his wife Nancy (nee Toth) and stood by her side everyday through a lengthy and hard fought illness until her passing in 2011. Incredible father of Jason (Andrea) Galella, Jo-Anna (Veronica) Galella and proud Nonno of Nicolas, Alexander and Preston. He went to all their sporting events, quietly cheering them on and sharing in their special moments. Supportive brother to Teresa (Bernie) Brandauer, Antoinette (Randy) Delano, Joanne (Richard) Derrick, loving brother-in-law Steve (Debbie) Toth and dear son-in-law to Ida (the late Steve) Toth. Loving partner of Joan Blaney. Survived by many nieces, nephews and family in Italy, Belgium, Germany and Switzerland. Predeceased by his parents Giuseppe and Vincenza Galella. Frank was born in Ruvo del Monte, Potenza, Italy and immigrated to Niagara Falls at the age of 16. He was a dedicated and hardworking Foreman for the City of Niagara Falls Water Department and proud to have never called in sick for over 33 years. He was selfless and deeply devoted to his family and his cherished companion, his dog Bailey. Frank was a passionate and unwavering fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers. Friends are invited to join the family at the PATTERSON FUNERAL HOME, 6062 Main St. Niagara Falls, visiting Thursday October 12, 2023 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Funeral Service in celebration of his life will be held Friday at 10 am at the funeral home, with the Rite of Committal to follow at Fairview Mausoleum.
