It is with very heavy hearts, that on August 15, 2024, Terry George Lucas, a.k.a. Burhead, passed away peacefully, at Cortellucci Vaughan Hospital, due to a stroke, at the age of 71.
Terry is loved and will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 48 years, Paula Lucas (nee Findlay). Great father of two children; Lynsay (Brian) and Spencer (Jacqueline). Adored Papa of 3 beautiful grand babies; Kai, Delaney, and Charlee. Beloved brother of Bonnie (Bob) Findlay and Rick (Beverly) Lucas. Brothers of the heart; Paul McGeachie, and Don and Bonnie Holledge. Fun uncle to his 20 nieces and nephews. Dear son of Fred and Christina Lucas. Terry “Burhead” was known and loved by many.
Living in Newmarket since the young age of 2, Terry found his passion of hockey, baseball, and golf at a young age and followed him throughout his later years. You could find Terry in the plumbing industry for over 50 years. Marrying his beautiful wife, Paula, while watching his 2 children grow throughout the years and giving him 3 beautiful grand babies.
Terry’s big smile, loud voice, and kind heart instantly made you feel at home.
He is going to be deeply missed by many.
Family and friends are welcome to gather and celebrate Terry’s life on September 8, 2024 from 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. at 112 Meadowbank Road, Newmarket. Light snacks and refreshments will be served.
If desired, memorial donations can be made to the Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation in honour of Terry.
