Janet “Linda” Hatter
With her partner and niece and her husband at her side, Linda passed away peacefully on October 8, 2024, at the Lakeridge Health Hospital in Bowmanville at the age of 78 after a fulfilling and well lived life. Linda was born in Montreal and resided on Benny Crescent during her adult years. She was a dedicated employee for CN Montreal until her retirement. Linda relocated to Wilmot Creek Newcastle Ontario in 2012 to be with her loving partner Bryce Chesser. Linda loved life, travelling and being with friends. Linda was predeceased by her parents Reggie and Peggy Hatter, brothers and sisters-in-laws Donald and Shirley and Gordon and Madeleine and niece Lori Meakin. She is survived by her partner of 16 years Bryce Chesser, niece Sharon Hatter Norrington ( Rick),nephews David and Michael(Nathalie) Hatter, her great nephew Damian and great niece Melissa and their families, as well as her cousins and many friends. In keeping with Linda’s wishes there will be no formal services. Messages of remembrance and condolence may be shared at The Newcastle Funeral Home who has been entrusted with the final arrangements.
