LAMBRECHT, Velma Jean Madeline (Kohl)
Passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, at Innisfree Hospice, Kitchener. Velma was born 96 years ago in Middleton Township, a daughter of the late Walter and Annie (Bilger) Kohl.
Cherished and loving mother of Robert and wife Joan Lepoudre and Don and wife Linda Lepoudre. Devoted grandmother of Scott (Karrie), Lori-Lee, Michelle (Luc), and Jason (Alicia). Proud great-grandmother of 7 and great-great grandmother of 1. She will be missed by her stepchildren and step-grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by her sister Eileen Greason and husband Jack, and by her many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her first husband Maurice Lepoudre (September 1977), by second husband Frank Lambrecht (March 1989), by sisters Vera Winegarden, Ruth Ebert DeVos, Reta Schweyer and by her brothers, and in laws.
Velma was a life long Royal Canadian Legion Auxiliary member and an active member with the many Lutheran Churches she attended in her 96 years. Velma was active making many lunches for funerals, and meals for both the Legion and Lutheran Churches.
At her request, cremation has taken place, and a graveside service will be planned for the near future in the Delhi Cemetery.
As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Innisfree Hospice and can be done on the funeral home website.
