Sally Casselman Obituary
Sally Teresa Casselman (Gilbertson), aged 75 years, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at Quinte Hospice, Belleville, Ontario.
Born in Nottingham, England October 22, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Winnifred (Jessop) Gilbertson. Sally was predeceased by her husband Raymond Casselman; sisters Ann and Judy; brother Peter; and niece Kelly.
Surviving is her son Michael Ball, stepdaughter Shannon (Brad), stepson Craig (Cheryl); step grandchildren Brittney, Emily, Jacob and Jana; step great granddaughter, Georgia Lynn; sisters Jean (Ray) and Josie; and many sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law; nieces and nephews.
Sally loved to be on the golf course in the summertime, at the curling rink during winter months, and in between times she could be found at the casino playing the slots! Fun times were had by everyone when Sally was around, as her sense of humour and quick wit kept everyone laughing. Quiet times at home Sally loved to read, and was very talented with her crochet work, making many beautiful intricate blankets that she mostly gave away to friends or donated to charities. Sally loved her family and extended family and was always ready and willing to get together for a good time.
Sally wanted to extend her thanks and appreciation to Doctor Dyer, the nurses and other medical staff at Quinte Hospice.
Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
