RONALD GEORGE SAUNDERS
OCTOBER 17,1950– MARCH 26, 2024
It is with much sadness that we announce the passing of Ron Saunders, after a short battle with cancer. Husband of Vicki for 43 years. Very proud father of Geordan and Aaron and his daughter-in-law, Adrianne. Adored grandfather of Lorelei and Victor. Son of Freda Saunders (B. C. ) and the late Carl Saunders. Brother of Ken, Robert and Neal.
Ron had a distinguished 37 year career in the military, joining the navy in 1969 before remustering to the Air Force in 1979, retiring in 2006 as a Warrant Officer. He was fortunate to have seen many parts of the world servicing military aircraft as an Avionics Technician.
In his retirement, Ron filled some of his time working in the automotive department of Canadian Tire. His greatest passion was computers, building and upgrading them; he spent endless hours on this hobby.
Cremation has taken place. At Ron’s request there will be no formal service.
The family is eternally grateful to all staff of the Lennox & Addington County General Hospital who provided stellar care for Ron and offered the family unending support. Should friends so desire, memorial donations can be made to the L&A Hospital or the Cancer Society. Arrangements in the care of Wartman Funeral Home – Napanee.
