On Thursday, May 23rd, Reginald Dalton Lofthouse passed away peacefully at the Village Green Nursing home at the age of 88. Reg is predeceased by wife Frances (Brady) Lofthouse, (former wife Patricia), his parents Norman and Greta and his brothers Ronald and Craig. Reg shared his love of life with his son Ian (Linda) Lofthouse, his daughter Wendy (Robert deceased) Whissell/Don; his stepchildren Brenda Giroux, Beverlae (Doug, deceased) Buckland, Barbara (Greg) Drury , Bonnie (Steve, deceased) Raymond, Joseph (Conni) Brady, John (Cathy) Brady and Elizabeth Brady (deceased.) He was a proud grandfather to Jason Whissell and step grandfather to Bonnie (Greg) Quast, , Andrew (Koren) Cockburn, Daniel Cockburn, Marc (Suzanne) Giroux, Keri Thomas, Joe Raymond, Chris Raymond, Lisa Auger and Krista Brady (deceased). He also had 17 great grandchildren and one great, great, granddaughter.
Reg was a prolific story teller, who was very proud of his years as a long-distance trucker (travelling the road as he listened to country music) and later as a security guard for CTV Television. He had a wonderful sense of humour and was always ready with a new joke.
Friends of Reg will remember him with his beloved Schnauzers, Fritz Sr. & Fritz Jr. ready for daily walks.
The family would also like to express their thanks to staff of the Village Green Nursing Home for the great care that was shown to their loved one.
Cremation arrangements entrusted with Wartman Funeral Home, Napanee. Interment in Perth to follow at a later date.
