RASMUSSEN, JORGEN “JOHN”
It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Jorgen Bulow Rasmussen of Metcalfe on Friday November 29, 2024 at the Ottawa General Hospital. Jorgen is survived by his wife, Judy Tomlin, and his children, Kirk (Linda), Tina ( Randy) grandchildren Emily (Jacob), and Jamie. He was predeceased by his sister, Kirsten, grandson Tommy, and son-in-law Eric. He was the much-loved patriach of his family, the man who could fix anything and knew how everything worked. He will be profoundly missed. Born in 1942 in Odense, Denmark, Jorgen came to Canada with his family in 1956. While still a teenager he began working with his father as an apprentice plumber. Eventually he became a master plumber and established several businesses of his own. As a young man he served in the Governor General’s Foot Guards, and in later years he was active in several Metcalfe organizations, including the Curling Club and the Metcalfe Community Association. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at the Daley Family Funeral Home, 6971 Bank St from 10-10:45 am on Saturday December 7. Memorial Service to follow in the Chapel at 11 am. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Ottawa Hospital Foundation or the Red Cross would be appreciated. Condolences may be left at www.daleyffh.ca
