Beatrice Quinn (McEvoy)
Peacefully in the early morning of Saturday March 23, 2024 with her family by her side Bea Quinn at the age of 84.
Cherished wife of James (Jim) Quinn for 63 years.
Loving mother of Jim (Debbie), Carol-Ann (Todd Wallace) and Bill (Tammy)
Forever in the Hearts of her 4 Grandchildren – Jennifer & Justin (Chambers), Jamie & Kayla and Paige & Ainsley Quinn. Proud Great-Grandmother of Rilynn & Blakely Chambers and Lawson Quinn.
Daughter of the late Raymond & Margaret (Gillissie). Dear Sister of Sister Alice, Genevieve (Roy Warnell), Mary and the late Gerald (late Patricia), Howard (late Lolita), Madeline (Leonard Thompson), Vincent (late Beatrice), Rev. Francis, Walter (late Mary), Michael (late Marilyn) and Dennis (Frances).
Caring Aunt to many nieces and nephews whom Bea kept in close contact.
Fondly remembered by the Quinn Family, many Friends and Neighbours.
Over the years Bea loved working at making her crafts to decorate their home, sewing, housekeeping for others and attending to her yard and flowers to ensure that their landscape was immaculate. Bea & Jim loved attending ‘Ol Time Fiddling dance functions, many travels to various places and a Sunday drive that ended with a meal at a nice restaurant.
Bea was very devoted to her Church ~ Our Lady of Visitation for 63 years.
Bea enjoyed chatting with her sisters on a weekly basis, if not on a daily basis. Her weekly & daily calls also included long time friend Margaret Quinn. For 68 years, Bea and her Special long time friend Velma (Gaston Clement) would meet and chat over breakfast to catch up on recent happenings in each others families.
To all who have kept close contact with our family via phone calls, messages and prayers during Bea’s journey – your words of support and encouragement has certainly been appreciated.
Special mention to Bea’s God daughter – Lynda and her Husband Kevin Alexander for the endless amounts of hot meals, soups and baked goods that were delivered each week over the past year ensuring that Bea and Jim were well nourished in their home for each meal. This was very comforting to our Family and will be forever grateful.
Honorable mention to Dr. Susan Thurston and Dr. Ann Fillingham for their compassion and devotion to Bea’s patient care over many years and especially over the past year. Bea’s personal Home Healthcare workers did an exceptional role in making her most comfortable in her home in the recent months and days as per her wishes.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at the Daley Family Funeral Home, 6971 Bank St. from 1-4 pm and 7-9 pm Tuesday March 26. Funeral Wednesday at Our Lady of the Visitation Church, 5338 Bank St. for Mass of at 11 am.
