Went to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 5, 2024, with his loving family by his side. Hubertus David Fyn, at the age of 87 years. Beloved husband of Lillian (Vardy) Fyn and cherished father of Gregory Fyn (Peggy), Dianne Fyn Groenewoud (Jeffrey) and Karen Fyn Maatta (Reino). David will be sadly missed by his precious grandchildren, who he adored with all his heart; David Paprocki, Tara McCarthy, Mitchell, Curtis, Erica and Leah Groenewoud, Isaac Wilkins and Levi Maatta. Dear brother of Sonja Fyn, Hansruedi Fyn (Willow), Rosely Fish (Robert), the late John Fyn (Patricia survives), Robert Fyn and Heidi Fyn. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. Predeceased by an infant sister Sonja.
Special thanks to the staff at Sherwood Park Manor for all their love, care and compassion provided over the past year and a half.
A funeral ceremony and celebration of David’s life will be held at the Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel, 4 James Street East, Brockville on Thursday, October 17, 2024, at 2 pm. Interment will take place at the Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Maitland followed by a reception.
Donations to the Alzheimer Society of Lanark Leeds Grenville or to the Sherwood Park Manor Building Fund will be gratefully acknowledged.
