Johanna Maria (Schouten) Hoogveld, passed away at the Brockville General Hospital, with her loving family by her side, on Wednesday, November 13, 2024, at the age of 75 years.
Anna, Mom, Oma, Wife, Sister, Friend, Aunt, and a loving caregiver, who always put others first. She was an amazing woman who will be greatly missed by all who know her.
Beloved wife of Theodore (Ted) Hoogveld and cherished mother of Anita Spence (Dale Armstrong) and Teresa Gataveckas (Eugene). Loving Oma to Maya Spence who predeceased her in 2021, Malcolm Spence, and Lukas Gataveckas. Dear sister of Wilhelmina Bader (Peter). Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her siblings Chris Schouten, Gerrit Schouten, Gerda Windmoller, Joe Schouten, Ben Schouten and Edith Lippens.
Family and friends may pay their respects at the Irvine Memorial Chapel at Roselawn, 2451 County Road 15, Maitland, on Monday, November 18th, 2024 from 11 am until 1 pm. A Funeral Liturgy will be held in the chapel at 1 pm followed by a reception. Interment will take place in Roselawn Memorial Gardens at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Brockville and District Hospital Foundation Palliative Care program would be gratefully acknowledged by the family.
