Obituary of Diane Angeline Cameron
DIANE ANGELINE CAMERON [Nee ALVARO]
It is with profound sadness that the family announce the passing of Diane Cameron which occurred on Tuesday, June 25, 2024 at LHSC. Born in London, Ontario on September 26, 1945, she was the daughter of Don and Dena Alvaro of London, Ontario.
Diane was predeceased by her father-in-law and best friend, Frank Cameron Sr. (2005). She is survived by her brother, Donnie Alvaro (Sue, 2009), her devoted son, Frankie (Jackie Bowes), cousins, nieces, nephews, and good friends.
She was a woman of great empathy, compassion, and selflessness whose world centred on family, friends, and the Church. Diane was an active member of St. Justin’s Parish for decades. She valued greatly the family dinners and large gatherings that were a common occurrence throughout her youth. She continued to enjoy numerous outings with her cousins right up to her final days, and always looked forward to the time spent with her brother. She was quite open about her greatest love, that honour was reserved for her son, Frankie, whom she absolutely adored.
Visitors will be received at John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo St at King Street, London, on Thursday, June 27 from 2-4 and 7-9 o’clock. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Justin’s Church, 855 Jalna Blvd. on Friday morning, June 28 at 11 o’clock. Entombment in Holy Family Mausoleum, St. Peter’s Cemetery. Donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
