With great sadness, we announce the sudden passing of our father, Donald Bruce Nielsen of London, Ontario on October 12, 2023. Born in North Bay,
Ontario on August 5, 1961 to Victor and Mhara (Cobb) Nielsen, Bruce was a 1981 graduate of Chippewa Secondary School and a graduate of Canadore College. During his adult life, he most notably worked for TD Bank and Middle-London District Health Unit, where he made many friends with his helpful friendly nature. Bruce enjoyed music of many genres but most notably rock. Bruce enjoyed tinkering with programs and computers, learning the ins and outs of how they work. He was a wealth of knowledge about many topics.
Bruce was preceded in death by both his parents – Victor (2006), Mhara (2008), and his beloved brother David Nielsen (2014). Bruce is survived by his children – Josh (Lisa), Jessica (Chris), and Marco; his grandchildren – Azaria, Charlee, and Jace; his brothers Howard (Helen) and Robert (Sue); and his Dachshund dog that he adored and brought him great joy in the last year of his life, Waylon.
Cremation has taken place. At this time, there will be no visitation or service, but we will hold a Celebration of Life at a later date.
