Obituary
Betty Lou Harrison passed away on December 27, 2024, at the age of 89. Betty was born on May 5, 1935 to James and Alice Merryl in Brantford, Canada. Although being a native and resident of Brantford, she spent her married life with her spouse, Charles, and two sons, Rob and Darryl, in Medway. While raising a family with Charles, she found passion and enjoyment in her job as a medical secretary.
Betty was a woman with spunk, who said what was on her mind leaving little to the imagination. Of her many talents, she excelled as a seamstress. Betty enjoyed traveling and loved the finer things in life. She was a prolific writer who enjoyed putting pen to paper and text to type.
She is survived by her children, Rob Harrison (Cindy) and Daryl Harrison (Ria), her grandchildren Michelle, Nicole, and James, Harrison, Elodie and Iver Harrison, her great-grandchildren, and her brother James Merryl (Karen).
Preceded in death by father and mother, James and Alice, siblings Harold Merryl (Hellen), Marcella Bobbinger (Adolf), Raymond Merryl (Madi), Mary O’Conner (Rich).
Visitation on Friday, January 3 from 5-7 pm at Harris Funeral Home, 220 St. James St. at Richmond, where the funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, January 4 at 10 am by Father Michael Wunder. Interment St. Peter’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated.
