Lucy Pelley resided at Caressant Care McLaughlin Road, Lindsay and was called to her enternal home, Friday April the 5 at the age of 84. Lucy Pilgrim was born and raised in St. Anthony, NL, pre-deceased parents Gideon and Violet Pilgrim. Lucy move to Dover, NL where she met her husband, the late Frederick Pelley.
Loved mother of Juan and Patricia Pelley, Brett and Candy Pelley and Marlene and Dean Skiffington. Cherished grandmother of Jacob and Kyle. Loved and cherished sister to Harvey , Millie, Bruce (Gertie), Charles (Joyce), Harriet (Ron). Pre-deceased sister-in-laws, Major Donna Pilgrim, Rose Parsons, Clare Saunders, Jenny Saunders, Pearl Collins, Greta Keats and Frances Pelley. Pre-deseased brother-in-laws Hayward Roberts, Dale Le Tual, Maxwell Pelley and Gerald Pelley. Left to mourn, sister-in-law Eliza Willis and family friend Peggy Snow. Lucy also loved and cherished her many nieces and nephews and other extended family.
Lucy had unconditional love for everyone she knew, she was a caregiver her whole life. Lucy loved being social and involved in her church. She enjoyed, shopping, knitting, playing games and putting puzzles together. Lucy will be deeply missed by her family and those that loved her.
Funeral services will take place at Salvation Army Community Church 51 Eglington Street Lindsay on Thursday April 11, family and friends are to gather for visiation and a recieption from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 pm. Interment to follow at Lakeside Cemetery South Valentia Cemetery.
