Elsie Eileen Hall (Boynton) passed away peacefully, with family by her side on July 24, 2024 at the age of 88. Elsie is reunited with her beloved husband, Donald Hall (1994) and son, Joel Hall (2005). Her presence, friendship and source of laughter will be forever missed by her daughter, Lisa Whyte and grandchildren, Ben Whyte and Emma Whyte (Ben Harrison). Granddaughters Annabelle Hall and Bronwen Hall and their mother Lisa Skradski were adored by Elsie and will always be grateful for such a loving light in their lives.
Elsie is predeceased by her siblings Margaret Broad (Ray), Eleanor Dawson (Dave), Robert Boynton (Doreen) and in-laws Viola Quinn (Melville), Jean Kennedy (Laurence), Dorothy Bryans (Ivan) and Magaret Wilson (Curly). She will be remembered by many nieces and nephews, and great nieces and great nephews.
Some of the greatest gifts she treasured were the friendships she held over many years.
Elsie touched many lives in the community as a teacher, avid quilter, church member, elder and volunteer. Her life was impacted greatly by those she worked with and taught.
Thank you to the staff and friends at Adelaide Place where she lived for several years. To the family of Victoria Manor, thank you for embracing her during her short time with you.
A funeral service will be held at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, on Saturday, August 3, 2024 at 11:00am. Reception to follow.
In lieu of flowers donations to St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Lindsay or Silver Lights Senior Services, Lindsay or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family. Donations may be made by cheque through Mackey Funeral Home, 33 Peel Street, Lindsay.
