It is with a broken heart that the Jones family announces the loss of Daniel Aaron Jones “Jonesey”. Born Jan 23, 1985, and passed October 18, 2024, with family at his side in Peterborough Ontario.
On this difficult day, the world took a step backward. Friends and family will attest that Dan would be the first to offer his time and support to be there for anyone at any time. He took great pride in his family and friends, always opened his heart completely, and prioritized friendships in a way we can all learn from.
Dan was a great-grandson, grandson, son, twin, brother, father, uncle, nephew, cousin, brother-in-law, best friend, and most of all, an incredibly hard worker who loved his craft and took satisfaction in perfecting all tasks.
Dan is survived by his daughter Aejah Brooks-Jones and many nieces and nephews who adored the entertaining, humorous, energetic ‘Uncle Dan’. He was always known for his vibrant personality, funny face, and being the fun uncle that every child should have in their lives.
Dan was always the best dressed and his style was on point on every occasion, he would never be seen with his hair or beard out of place, and always wore a watch from his vast collection. He had more shoes than a Hollywood shoe shop, never walked past a barber without being freshened up, and took incredible pride in his myriad of cologne.
Daniel, you will never be replicated, and we will never be whole again without you. We will smile at the stars and talk to you without shame. Smile back and watch over us as we continue to live a life that would make you proud. You left us far too early, with so many plans in tow, but we understand there is always a larger plan, and are heartbroken for you to go.
From your daughter, twin, sister, parents, friends, family, cousins, and extended outreach of other lives you touched, we will be with you always, WE LOVE YOU, REST IN PEACE.
Two are better than one, for if they fall, one will lift up his companion. But woe he who is alone when he falls, for he has no one to help him up. Though one may be overpowered by another, two can withstand him and threefold chord is not quickly broken.
