Da Cruz, Fernando
Born on May 3, 1934, in Sao Paulo, Brazil. He immigrated to Leamington, Ontario in the early 1970s to make a better life for his family. He lived in Leamington until he was called to his eternal home on December 19, 2023. Fernando leaves behind his best friend and wife of 55 years Erminia and their three boys. Fernando (Barb), Alex (Lidia) and David (Lucrecia) along with his cherished grandchildren: Lucas, Xavier, Mila, Ruben, Sophia & Gabriel and his many nieces and nephews. He was a devoted and loving vovo and a kid at heart. He was a bricklayer for over 40 years which supported his passion of ice and stone sculpturing using his masonry trowel. We will miss you Vovo. Visiting at Reid Funeral Home & Reception Centre, 14 Russell Street, Leamington (519-326-2631) Friday December 22, 2023, from 10 am until time of funeral service to celebrate Fernando’s life at 11 am. Cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Erie Shores Health Foundation. Family and friends are invited to share their words of comfort at www.reidfuneralhome.ca
