It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of a beloved husband, father, and grandfather Vlado Kolbas, who left us on August 30th, 2024 on his 77th birthday, in the presence of his family.
Loving husband to Melanija for over 52 years; father of Marina Kolbas Lefebvre (Frederic), Katerina Rozmaring (Istvan), Aleksander Kolbas and Kristina Duranyik. Proud grandfather (dedo) of Alexis, Natasha, Louella, Milena, Liam and Mia. Dearly missed by his brother Janko and his family. Predeceased by his parents, Eugen and Justina.
Music was the passion of his life. He will be remembered as a talented music producer, accordion teacher, choir conductor, and one of the founders of the Rusyn festival “Ruzova Zahradka”.
He lived a life full of compassion, love, and kindness. His dedication to his family and friends will always be remembered. He will forever remain in our hearts.
Vlado’s family will receive relatives and friends from 5-8 p.m. on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, and from 12:00 p.m. to 12:45 p.m. on Wednesday, September 4, 2024 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St. Kitchener, (519) 749-8467. Funeral Service in the Chapel on Wednesday at 1 p.m. Interment Williamsburg Cemetery, 1541 Fischer-Hallman Rd. Reception to follow back at the Henry Walser Funeral Home.
