Passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 15, 2024 at Freeport Hospital in Kitchener one day before her 90th birthday.
Beloved wife of Joaquim (Jack) for over 62 years.
Loving mother of Marilyn Jacinto (Alcides “Al”), Fatima Mayer (Peter) and Paulo Pontes (Aaron Moore).
Cherished grandmother “Avó” of Christopher, Allison, Kirsten, Thomas and Olive.
Survived by her sister Maria Benedita.
Fondly remembered by many extended family and friends.
Maria’s family will receive relatives and friends from 5:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday, September 27, 2024 and from 9:30-10:15 a.m on Saturday, September 28, 2024 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Prayers 7:30 p.m. Friday. Funeral Service in the chapel on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. Reception to follow. Interment at Williamsburg Cemetery.
