Margaret Ann Essensa (Lisewski):
Margaret Ann Essensa passed away peacefully at Freeport hospital surrounded by the love of her family after a courageous battle with cancer, on October 2nd, 2023. Margaret was born October 12, 1966.
Predeceased by her parents, Joan Hanley and Raymond Essensa.
She is survived by her children Sarah (Desrick) Essensa- Palmer, Robert (Amanda) Rankin, Jennifer (Scott) Somerville, Yvon (Nicola) Murray, and Rachel Lisewski.
Fun and loving Nana to Karissia, Selena and Alex, Sophia and Luca, and Lily; whom she cherished time with to spoil.
Survived by her siblings Theresia (Gerry/ deceased) Fawkes, Rebeckah Essensa, and Tom (Jennifer) Hanley, and her sister in-law Jennifer Lisewski. She was adored by her nieces and nephews, Nathan, Jody and Greg, Ashley, Alley, and Anthony, Katelynn and Christopher, Eric, Greg, and Bella.
Margaret loved her time with her children and grandkids. She loved time on the farm and being around animals, especially her horses. Marg was a soul of love. She was a strong and powerful woman who always had a great sense of humour and some kind of witty comment to make others laugh.
Marg’s final act of compassion was her decision to be placed on the donor list. This has changed someone’s life forever.
We would like to thank the staff at Freeport and Grand River Hospital Cancer Centre for the care during her battle with cancer and her final moments of life. The family appreciates the love and support that was given.
A celebration of Marg’s life will be held on Friday, October 6, 2023, between 6-8 p.m. at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. All are welcome.
She will be missed by many!
